Step-by-Step Instructions

Preparing

Step 1

Place the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl and melt them either in the microwave or using a double boiler. Once melted, let the mixture cool in the fridge for 5–10 minutes.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the cooled chocolate and butter mixture with all the other ingredients (order doesn't matter). Mix everything together using a hand mixer, beater, or by hand (if you’re strong enough) until the mixture becomes smooth and homogeneous. With a good mixer, this should take no more than 5 minutes.

Baking

  1. Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each one into a ball.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. If you don’t have any, grease and flour the pan well to prevent sticking.
  3. Bake at 180°C for exactly 10 minutes (8 minutes for softer cookies, 12 minutes for firmer ones).
  4. Remove the tray from the oven and let the cookies rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. This step is very important.
  5. Enjoy your cookies!
